New Website
The new Nichols Concrete website www.nicholsconcrete.com has been premiered with a new look and improved content. Viewers can “Meet the Fleet” and easily select the right pump for their project. Nichols operates virtually every boom size available up to their 61-meter which reaches to nearly 200-feet. Nichols also rents separate placing booms which can be positioned at the top of a building during construction and distribute concrete supplied by a pump at ground level. A locator on the site directs customers to Nichols three regional offices which supply pumping services to customers throughout the Southeast.

Big Boom Arrives
Nichols Concrete recently took delivery of a new Schwing S 61 SX, the longest boom pump in North America. “In order to be the leading pumping contractor in the area, we feel we must have the latest equipment, “ explained Rusty Hicks, Nichols president. The 61-meter Schwing can pump a 15 story building from one location or reach out an unprecedented distance to cover large slabs. Output of the pump exceeds 200 yards per hour.

Unique Telescopic Boom Added
The latest innovation in concrete placement has been added to the Nichols pumping fleet. The Schwing 31 EZ incorporates a telescopic first section to allow extremely low unfolding heights for the four-section boom. This is advantageous for indoor pours but the machine also performs on conventional projects.
